(retired), Moorestown, N.J. and, Chair, Committee on Assessment of Resource Needs for Fuel Cell and Hydrogen Technologies, Board on Energy and Environmental Systems, Division on Engineering and Physical Sciences, National Research Council, The National Academies

This report, requested by Congress in P.L. 109-58 (The Energy Policy Act of 2005), explores fuel cell technologies and provides a roadmap for the transition from petroleum to hydrogen in a significant percentage of the new passenger and light-duty commercial vehicles sold in the United States by 2020.

These series of briefings were for members of Congress and congressional staff only. The report was publicly released on July 17, 2008 and can be found, in its entirety, on the Web site of the National Academies Press.
