Congressional Briefings

SBIR at the Department of Defense

Requested by Congress in P.L. 112-81, this new report, from the National Academies, is in partial response to the mandate in the legislation. The report evaluates the U.S. Department of Defense's Small Business Innovation Research Program, which funds research and development at small U.S. companies that could meet defense needs.

These briefings were for members of Congress and congressional staff only. The report was publicly released on Monday, October 6, 2014 and can be found, in its entirety, on the Web site of the National Academies Press.
