    Assist in developing a plan for the establishment of a national center or centers for the study of war-related illnesses and post-deployment health issues

    Assessment of whether a methodology could be used for determining the efficacy of treatments furnished to, and health outcomes of, Persian Gulf War veterans treated for illnesses associated with their service, and identify empirically valid models of treatment

    Develop a curriculum for the care and treatment of Persian Gulf War veterans who have ill-defined or undiagnosed illnesses and periodically review and provide recommendations regarding research plans and research strategies
