ASADI VII Kicks Off Nov. 14, 2011 in Uganda

The seventh annual ASADI conference begins today in Kampala, Uganda, and Prime Minister of Uganda Amama Mbabazi will speak to the event's participants -- officials from several African science academies and their counterparts from the U.S. National Academies, European science academies, and other experts from around the world who will gather over the course of three days to discuss aid effectiveness in Africa's health sector. The host Uganda National Academy of Sciences opened the conference by unveiling a new report on the role of civil society organizations in 'managing for results' in Africa's health sector.
