Former WFP Executive Director Namanga Ngongi (WFP)

Namanga Ngongi

Former Executive Director of the World Food Programme

Ngongi served as Deputy Executive Director for WFP from 1994 to 2001. Previously, he served as First Secretary at the Cameroon Embassy in Rome and with the Cameroon Ministry of Agriculture. In August 2001, Ngongi was appointed as Special Representative to the Democratic Republic of Congo by the UN Secretary General Kofi Annan.
