Wynand van der Walt Consultant on Agricultural Biotechnologies, Food, Agriculture and Natiral Resources Policy Analysis Network (FANRPAN)

Dr. Wynand van der Walt recieved his PhD in genetics from the University of Wisconsin, U.S.A. Prior to his doctorate, Dr. van der Walt worked as a civil servant with the Department of Agricultural Technical Services in South Africa.

Dr. Wnland van der Walt helped form the South African National Seed Organization (SANSOR) in 1989 and served as its General Manger for 10 years.

In February 2000, Dr. van der Walt changed his role to SANSOR Project Manager and kept busy as director of both the African Seed Trade Association (AFSTA) and AfricaBio. He is now an Honorary Life Member of AFSTA and a Senior Partner at FoodNCropBio.
