New Challenges and Opportunities in Food Marketing to Children and Youth: A Workshop
The Institute of Medicine Standing Committee on Childhood Obesity Prevention hosted a public workshop, " New Challenges and Opportunities in Food Marketing to Children and Youth " on November 5, 2012.
The workshop explored new challenges and opportunities for action on food and beverage marketing that targets children and youth. It featured approximately 15 speakers who discussed topics including emerging issues and practices in the current food marketing environment, innovations in industry practice, and emerging policy initiatives and communication strategies. A link to a live video webcast of the workshop was available on this page shortly before the workshop began. Registration for the webcast was not required. The speaker Powerpoint slides and a video recording of the proceedings will be available on this page following the workshop.
