The Institute of Medicine's Standing Committee on Childhood Obesity Prevention hosted a public session, "A Conversation about Parents and Childhood Obesity Prevention," on February 21st, 2013.

The public session featured approximately 17 speakers who explored how parents view childhood obesity prevention, insights from child development for obesity prevention, and parent engagement and leadership in preventing obesity among their children.

Registration to attend the workshop in person was required. The speakers' PowerPoint slides and an audio recording of the proceedings are available on this page following the workshop.
