Claudia S. Riedt, Ph.D., is director of Nutrition Science, Regulatory Affairs, and Ingredient Technology at Dr Pepper Snapple Group (NYSE: DPS). In that role she is responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance, developing research strategies for nutrition, and developing the ingredient technology platform for beverage innovation. Before joining DPS, Dr. Riedt worked at McNeil Nutritionals, LLC, a Johnson & Johnson subsidiary, and at Johnson & Johnson Consumer Companies, Inc. in various functions in Nutrition and Skin Care sciences. She is currently vice-chair of the International Life Sciences Institute (ILSI) Food, Nutrition & Safety Program and actively involved in several ILSI technical committees. Dr. Riedt also ensures identification and participation in research and outreach externally through memberships with American Society for Nutrition, Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, and The Obesity Society. Prior to her career in the U.S., Dr. Riedt received an engineering degree (Dipl.-Ing. FH) in Nutrition Sciences from the University of Applied Sciences in Sigmaringen, Germany. Dr. Riedt received her Ph.D. in Nutrition Sciences from Rutgers University.
