Wendy Boland, Ph.D., M.B.A., joined the Marketing Department at Kogod School of Business at American University in the fall of 2008. Her research focuses on consumer decision making, risky consumption, consumer well-being, information processing, and marketing and public policy issues, especially those dealing with child and adolescent consumers. Her work has been published in several journals including the Journal of Consumer Research, the Journal of Consumer Psychology, the Journal of Business Research, the Journal of Marketing Behavior, and Appetite. Dr. Boland’s teaching interests include consumer behavior, principles of marketing, marketing research, and marketing policy. Currently, she serves as the Interim Dean of Graduate Studies and Associate Professor of Marketing. Prior to this role, she served as the Associate Dean of Graduate Programs. Dr. Boland received her Ph.D. in marketing from the University of Arizona.
