Tom Richards represents the American Council on Exercise as the Director of Stakeholder Engagement. He is responsible for communicating the organization’s vision, mission, and values to current and prospective partners; and understanding the opportunities and challenges facing ACE exercise professionals and health coaches as they are called upon to play a larger, more integrated role in the American health care system. Mr. Richards has served as President of the National Coalition for Promoting Physical Activity and Co-Chair of the Business/Industry Sector of the National Physical Activity Plan, which developed the “CEO Pledge for Physical Activity.” Prior to joining ACE, Mr. Richards served as the Senior Legislative Counsel for the International Health, Racquet & Sportsclub Association. He received his B.S. from Fairfield University and his J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law.
