The dissemination workshop on the National Academies report Making Eye Health a Population Health Imperative: Vision for Tomorrow was held on March 13, 2017 in Washington, DC.

The event brought together multiple stakeholders in interactive discussions to explore common ground and different approaches to respond to and implement recommendations from the report, aiming to advance the field of eye and vision health and to reduce vision impairment. The workshop featured the following topics:

  • Surveillance and research,
  • Improving awareness and messaging for multiple stakeholders,
  • Improving access and care delivery, and
  • The role of public health.
