The Health and Medicine Division and the Transportation Research Board, program divisions of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine, jointly conducted a two-day workshop intended to examine the relationship between the health care and transportation sectors. This workshop, supported by the Federal Transit Administration, US Department of Transportation, included presentations and discussion about data sources, existing measures, and other information relevant to assessing the effect on outcomes and return on investment.
