Crossing the Quality Chasm Summit: Redesigning Care and Improving Health in the Priority Areas
On January 6-7, 2004, the IOM hosted an invitational summit to further translate the vision for improving the quality of our nation's health care as laid out in the IOM's Crossing the Quality Chasm report. The summit focused particular attention on five priority areas: asthma, chronic heart failure, major depression, diabetes, and pain control in advanced cancer.
The report from the summit was released on September 14, 2004.
