On June 6, 2018, the National Academies Roundtable on the Promotion of Health Equity held a one-day public workshop on The Impact of Incarceration and Reentry on Community Health and Well-Being in Philadelphia, PA. Workshop materials such as agenda, speaker biosketches, speaker presentations, and relevant resources are available on the right side of the webpage.

OBJECTIVES
1. To better understand the distributive impact of incarceration on low income families and communities of color.
2. To examine the effects of the post-incarceration reentry process on families and communities.
3. To explore promising models and best practices for improving and enhancing the reentry process.

I could not attend the workshop in person, how can I learn more?
A written account of the workshop, called "workshop proceedings," will be available in the months following the workshop for free download on the main Roundtable webpage.
