Disney and Cartoon Network Pledge to Support Child Nutrition

Both the Walt Disney Company and the Cartoon Network pledged to stop using their cartoon characters to advertise food products for children that are high in calorie sand low in nutrients, after publication of the IOM reports Food Marketing to Children and Youth: Threat or Opportunity? and Nutrition Standards for Foods in Schools: Leading the way Toward Healthier Youth.
