The Roundtable on Population Health Improvement convened a workshop in Oakland, California on December 7th, 2017 to explore tax policy focusing on taxes, credits, policy design considerations, and redirecting resources to support population health interventions. The interactive workshop, titled Exploring Tax Policy to Advance Population Health, Health Equity, and Economic Prosperity aimed to show how tax policies have been used to channel resources and shape economic incentives in support of population health goals, and to equip participants with basic knowledge of tax policy and ways to engage in dialogue about it with community members and stakeholders.
