Aging Baby Boomers, Immigrants Will Impact Commuting

October 16 -- A new study on commuting trends in the U.S., authored by Alan Pisarski and published by the Transportation Research Board, says that the nation should see fewer commuters as baby boomers start to retire, but the increase of working immigrants will partly offset this decrease. These changing characteristics of the work force are shifting overall commuting patterns.
