Forging the Future of Space Science

August 16 -- Next month, the Space Studies Board will kick off a yearlong series of public lectures and colloquia in cities across the country and abroad on the future of space and earth sciences. The first event will take place in Baltimore, Md., on Sept. 10. Series topics include understanding the universe, global climate change, the cosmic origins of life, scientific exploration of the Moon and Mars, and the research and technology needed to support human spaceflight.
