Harvey V. Fineberg Named to Second Term as IOM President

September 12 -- Harvey V. Fineberg has been appointed to a second six-year term as president of the Institute of Medicine to begin July 1, 2008. During his first term, IOM issued landmark studies on such critical issues as childhood obesity and the marketing of foods and beverages to children, medication errors, health insurance and access to care, pandemic flu preparedness, and reform of the FDA.
