Judith A. Salerno Appointed as IOM Executive Officer

September 17 -- Judith A. Salerno, a national leader on aging research, long-term care, and other health policy issues related to aging, chronic disease, and disability, has been appointed as the new executive officer of the Institute of Medicine. Salerno, who currently serves as deputy director of the National Institute on Aging, will begin her position at IOM in January.
