NAE Announces Award Winners

September 26 -- Stanford S. “Sol” Penner, Distinguished Professor of Engineering Physics Emeritus at the University of California, San Diego, will receive the Founders Award for important advances in thermophysics, spectroscopy, combustion, and propulsion. Jordan Baruch, president of Jordan Baruch Associates will receive the Arthur M. Bueche Award for fostering innovation and the management of technology for economic growth. The National Academy of Engineering will present the two awards at its annual meeting on Sept. 30.
