'In Search of Memory' Wins 2007 Best Book Award

October 1 -- This year's National Academies Communication Awards go to Eric Kandel, author of In Search of Memory: The Emergence of a New Science of Mind; Carl Zimmer, freelance writer; and Radio Lab, WNYC, New York Public Radio. The awards recognize excellence in communicating science, engineering, and medicine to the public. A $20,000 prize will be presented to each winner on Nov. 14 during the Keck Futures Initiative conference, to be held in California.
