IOM Announces Award Winners

October 8 -- The Institute of Medicine presented two awards at its annual meeting today. Howard H. Hiatt received the 2007 Gustav O. Lienhard Award in recognition of his many contributions to improving the performance of personal health care services in the United States and abroad. Beatrix A. and David A. Hamburg jointly received the 2007 Rhoda and Bernard Sarnat International Award in Mental Health in recognition of their significant influence on the fields of adult, adolescent, and child psychiatry. In addition, IOM honored three of its members for outstanding service to the organization.
