National Academies Expand Work With Iranian Researchers

October 31 -- Following a visit by NAS and NAE representatives to Iran Oct. 13-22, the Academies announced expanded cooperation with Iranian science and technology institutions, including a bilateral dialogue on biological research, nanotechnology, use of fossil fuels, and cyber technology. In a statement, former NAE President Wm A. Wulf, who led the U.S. delegation, hailed the opportunity to continue significant work with Iranian researchers that “will not only advance international science and engineering, but also build trust and respect for one another throughout our societies.”
