November 15 -- The winners of the 2007 National Academies Communication Awards -- Eric Kandel, author of In Search of Memory: The Emergence of a New Science of Mind; freelance writer Carl Zimmer; and Jad Abumrad, Robert Krulwich, and Ellen Horne of Radio Lab, WNYC, New York Public Radio -- were honored during this year's Keck Futures Initiative conference in Irvine, Calif.
