Mobilizing the Private Sector for Public Good in Nigeria

November 16 -- A new report from the U.S. National Research Council and Nigerian Academy of Science recommends ways the Nigerian government can mobilize the private sector to provide electric power, safe drinking water, and medicine to more citizens. For example, the government should offer incentives to companies to sell and service solar-power systems for rural homes and support private-sector efforts to produce first-line malaria therapies.
