Academies Celebrate Human Rights Declaration at 60

December 10, 2008 -- Today the Universal Declaration of Human Rights is 60 years old. In a statement, the presidents of the National Academy of Sciences, National Academy of Engineering, and Institute of Medicine hail this extraordinary document and the international human rights covenants and treaties inspired by it.
