NAS Annual Meeting Begins This Weekend; Obama to Address Members Monday

April 24, 2009 -- In addition to a speech by President Obama, the 146th annual meeting of the National Academy of Sciences will feature the election of new members, the induction of members elected last year, and the presentation of awards recognizing excellence in research and public service. To commemorate the bicentennial of Charles Darwin's birth, a public symposium on recent developments in evolutionary biology will be held April 27.
