InterAcademy Council Names IPCC Review Committee

May 3, 2010 -- Former Princeton University President Harold T. Shapiro will chair an InterAcademy Council (IAC) committee that has been asked by the United Nations to conduct an independent review of the procedures and processes of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. Roseanne Diab of the Academy of Science of South Africa will serve as vice chair. The IAC is an organization of the world’s science academies, including the U.S. National Academy of Sciences.
