January 4, 2011 -- The National Academy of Sciences operates an outreach program to the entertainment community called the Science & Entertainment Exchange. Its goal is to help producers, directors, writers, and others in film and television incorporate realistic science in their work. On Jan. 2, 2011, the London Sunday Times published a story that incorrectly attributed a “top-ten worst sci-fi films list” to the Science & Entertainment Exchange. Neither the Exchange nor the NAS was involved in creating such a list. We have asked the Sunday Times to publish a correction.
