Mission to Study Dark Energy Top Priority

September 5 -- The U.S. Department of Energy and NASA's Joint Dark Energy Mission should be pursued first in the Beyond Einstein program, NASA’s research roadmap for five proposed mission areas examining fundamental questions at the intersection of physics and astronomy, according to a new report from the National Research Council. The report also recommends that NASA continue the technological development of another proposed mission, the Laser Interferometer Space Antenna.
