Draft Study of Risks at Proposed Boston Biocontainment Lab Flawed

November 29 -- A National Institutes of Health draft report does not adequately assess the risks associated with a proposed biocontainment laboratory at Boston University, according to a review by a National Research Council committee. The draft report fails to identify and thoroughly develop the most appropriate worst case scenarios at the lab, which would be located near downtown Boston.
