All National Academies facilities in the Washington, D.C. area are OPEN under a NORMAL schedule.

Staff and visitors may call 202-337-8566 to hear a recorded message concerning the operational status of the National Academies in the D.C. area, including information on any facility closings or restrictions on operations as a result of inclement weather, disaster, or other emergency.

Local television and radio stations may also be a source of information about operational status if Web and telephone access are unavailable.

WEEKENDS: In case of inclement weather, participants in weekend activities should contact the event organizer.
