Convened by Transportation Research Board, the Commodity Flow Survey Workshop will be held virtually on September 24 to facilitate discussion among federal, state, and local level planners, in addition to transportation researchers, academics, and practitioners that use federal freight transportation data. Conducted every five years, the Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS) is beginning redesign of their Commodity Flow Survey. The workshop will provide feedback to identify emerging trends and better help collect information on commodity flows.

TRB has been closely monitoring the evolving situation related to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. The health and safety of our volunteers, sponsors, meeting guests, staff, and the greater community are of utmost importance to us. In light of the current situation, this workshop has been postponed from April.
