TRB Webinar: Delivering Bridge Projects with Building Information Modeling (BIM)

August 26, 2020

2:00 PM - 3:30 PM (EDT)

Past

Bridge owners are interested in scaling the benefits of digital delivery across their agencies’ programs. The application of BIM to infrastructure is growing in prominence nationally and internationally. TRB hosted a webinar on Wednesday, August 26, 2020 from 2:00-3:30 PM Eastern that discussed how to use BIM to deliver infrastructure projects using digital delivery. Presenters addressed two specific challenges to digital delivery: contract language to manage the digital requirements, and standardizing the content and format of the digital exchanges. The presenters also built upon previous efforts and ongoing industry research on multiple fronts to further implement digital delivery in bridge design, construction, fabrication, and asset management.

This webinar was organized by the TRB Standing Committee on Visualization in Transportation.

The slides and recording are available.
