Chemical treatments are a cost-effective way of improving unpaved road performance. TRB hosted a webinar on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 from 2:00-3:30 PM Eastern that provided guidance for road agencies looking to use chemical treatments in their unpaved road management programs. The presenter explained the benefits of using a chemical treatment program in an unpaved road management strategy. He also demonstrated a web-based tool to select the most appropriate chemical treatment for a given set of circumstances, including materials, traffic, climate, and road geometry.

The first 60 minutes of the webinar will be for presentations and the final 30 minutes will be reserved for audience questions.
