How safe are bicycle lanes in your community? TRB hosted a webinar on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 from 2:00-3:30 PM Eastern that explores how colorizing bike lanes can enhance their safety. Presenters illustrated two case studies about green colored pavement markings for improving safety. They identified applications and performances of different materials in both northern and southern climates. This webinar also allowed for a discussion about the costs and benefits of different pavement marking technologies in additional use cases.
This webinar was organized by the TRB Standing Technical Committees on Traffic Control Devices, and on Bicycle Transportation.
