Frontiers of Extreme Event Attribution

June 1, 2022

12:00 PM - 4:00 PM (ET)

Past

The Academies previously conducted a consensus study, Attribution of Extreme Weather Events in the Context of Climate Change (2016), which examined the current state of science of extreme weather attribution, and identified ways to move the science forward to improve attribution capabilities. In this session, speakers will consider the scientific advances that have been made since the previous study, emerging approaches and methodologies, and extreme weather attribution in the context of decision-support.

In-person availability at this meeting is extremely limited. Please contact Rachel Silvern at rsilvern@nas.edu if you wish to attend in person.
