Cutting Edge Scientific Capabilities for Biological Detection - A Workshop

Completed

For decades, scientists have used genetics to detect and identify various organisms. Recent advances in genomics, epigenetics, microbiomics, and other biotechnological-related research areas have led to new and emerging paradigms for biological detection. This workshop will explore cutting edge capabilities for biological detection and critical issues related to their development and use.

This workshop will be convened by the National Academies’ Standing Committee on Biotechnology Capabilities and National Security Needs
