Review of the Small Business Innovation Research and Small Business Technology Transfer Programs at the Department of Defense

Under the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs, certain federal agencies set aside for small business concerns a portion of their R&D funds.

In response to a Congressional mandate, a committee will conduct a study of the economic and noneconomic benefits of the SBIR and STTR programs at the Department of Defense (DoD) and the effectiveness of the enabling strategies DoD has employed to enhance the programs.
