Transportation network companies (TNCs) have become an increasingly popular form of transportation to and from airports since initially permitted in 2014. TRB hosted a webinar on Thursday, May 13, 2021 from 2:00 to 3:30 PM Eastern that discussed the role of TNCs within the context of commercial ground transportation policies and programs. Presenters provided a summary of key regulations and permits for airport operators to consider, reviewed best practices, and summarized technology and effective management techniques. They also identified approaches to fostering effective working relationships with TNCs.
The webinar features research from ACRP Report 215: Transportation Network Companies (TNCs): Impacts to Airport Revenues and Operations—Reference Guide.
