On October 10, the Committee on Fostering Healthy Mental, Emotional, and Behavioral Development Among Children and Youth will host a public dialogue on their recently released consensus report. Following this morning session, the Forum for Children’s Well-Being will convene a public workshop on the state of mental, emotional, and behavioral health of children and youth in the United States.

Description
A planning committee of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine will organize and convene a one-day public workshop that will explore the state of mental, emotional, and behavioral (MEB) health of children and youth in the U.S. The workshop will discuss the consensus report, Fostering Mental, Emotional, and Behavioral Health in Children and Youth, as well as the progress made since the inception of the Forum for Children's Well-Being, the current state of MEB health, and where the field hopes to go in the near and distant future. The planning committee will develop the agenda, identify meeting objectives, and select appropriate speakers. A proceedings of a workshop will be prepared by a designated rapporteur in accordance with institutional guidelines.
