Nearly all transit agencies can imagine potential benefits to multimodal payment convergence. TRB hosted a webinar on Thursday, July 29, from 1:00 to 2:30 PM Eastern that presented models for multimodal payment integration. Presenters identified how transit agencies, private transit operators, transit advocates, and local government leadership can integrate multimodal fare payments. They also determined what payment convergence is, list the benefits of applying these methods, and discuss how to implement them.
The webinar features research from TCRP Synthesis Report 144: Multimodal Fare Payment Integration.
