The Global Forum on Innovation in Health Professional Education (IHPE Forum) in conjunction with the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Dental Medicine, will host a two-day public workshop on Sharing Models of Whole-Person Oral Health Education. Please join us in person or online February 15-16, at the University of Pennsylvania as we learn about various oral health educational models aimed at improving the overall health of persons from underserved communities, and we explore the value proposition of interprofessional holistic oral health education.

About Past Events

Description

A planning committee of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine will organize and conduct a public workshop to learn from examples of interprofessional holistic oral health education from across the learning continuum. Invited presentations and discussions will involve global audiences in exploring a value proposition for educational models aimed at improving the health of underserved persons and communities through oral health promotion and prevention efforts. The UN Sustainable Development Goals could be a platform on which to discuss the value proposition.
The planning committee will select and invite speakers and discussants and moderate the discussions at the workshop. Following the workshop, a proceedings of the presentations and discussions will be prepared by a designated rapporteur in accordance with institutional guidelines.
