Sustaining a qualified workforce is an urgent issue for several state departments of transportation (DOTs). TRB hosted a webinar on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 from 2:00-3:30 PM Eastern that discussed innovative practices to address workforce challenges. Presenters identified a strategic workforce management process and describe success stories about workforce management in the transportation industry. They discussed practices that can be quickly adopted and implemented to recruit, develop, and retain the workforce.
This webinar features research from NCHRP Domestic Scan 19-02: Leading Practices in Strategic Workforce Management by Transportation Agencies.
