TRB Webinar: Enhancing the Capacity for Transportation System Resilience

May 26, 2021

2:00 PM - 3:30 PM (EDT)

Past

Transportation officials recognize the necessity of a reliable and sustainable transportation system to fulfill their agency’s mission and goals. TRB hosted a webinar on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 from 2:00-3:30 PM Eastern that discussed how agency staff can assess their own capacity for resilient transportation. Presenters demonstrated a tool agencies can use to gauge resilience within most functional areas of a state department of transportation, including planning, project development, operations, and maintenance. They also identified how mainstreaming resilience concepts can assist with decision-making processes.

This webinar features research from NCHRP Research Report 970: Mainstreaming System Resilience Concepts into Transportation Agencies: A Guide.

A related webinar occurred May 6, TRB Webinar: Senior Leadership’s Role in Embedding Transportation Resilience.
