National Cooperative Highway Research Program (NCHRP) Project 25-64 is developing a resource handbook for state transportation agencies on considering greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and climate change in environmental reviews, including reviews required under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) as well as any reviews conducted per state requirements or guidance. To develop the handbook, the project team is soliciting input from state transportation agency staff on your agency’s current approach to considering GHG and climate effects, as well as anticipated future approaches and information needs. We are providing this brief survey to all 52 State DOTs and will follow up with a subset of states for more detailed interviews and workshop participation.
