The National Cooperative Highway Research Program (NCHRP) is a nationwide research program that supports state departments of transportation by investigating problem areas common to highway and multimodal planning, design, construction, operation and maintenance. We are providing this brief survey to national, regional, and local environmental and community-based organizations as part of NCHRP Project 25-64. Considering Climate Change in Transportation Environmental Review.
Your feedback will help transportation agencies better understand how environmental and community-based organizations want to see greenhouse gas (GHG) and climate change effects considered in the environmental review process and inform the potential outcomes of these processes. This includes reviews required under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) as well as reviews conducted in accordance with any state requirements or guidance.
The project team will follow up with a subset of organizations for more detailed interviews and workshop participation. The project team also has a small amount of funding available to support the participation of organizations representing overburdened or under-resourced communities and stakeholders in this project and we are seeking potential partners through this survey.
