Action Collaborative on Medical Operation Coordination Centers (AC-MOCCs)
The Action Collaborative on Medical Operation Coordination Centers (AC-MOCCs) is working to enhance the impact and readiness of medical operation coordination centers (MOCCs) by aligning key stakeholders, advancing data and operational standards, and strengthening coordination at both regional and national levels. MOCCs serve as regional hubs that support real-time coordination of patient movement, resource allocation, and clinical prioritization during daily operations, disaster operations, and defense operations.

Description
Under the auspices of the Forum on Medical and Public Health Preparedness for Disasters and Emergencies at the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine, the Action Collaborative on Medical Operation Coordination Centers (AC-MOCCs) will support the development, visibility, and readiness of regional medical operation coordination centers (MOCCs) by aligning stakeholders, advancing data and operational standards, and strengthening regional and national capacity.
The AC-MOCCs will advance its mission through four focused workstreams, each addressing a critical component of effective MOCC implementation and scalability. One focuses on building awareness and support through targeted communications and stakeholder engagement. Another examines operational models, policies, and best practices to guide MOCC implementation and scalability. A third workstream is exploring a unified data framework to support secure, real-time information sharing and platform integration. The fourth discusses current MOCC capacity to respond to large-scale emergencies and identifies immediate opportunities to enhance national surge readiness.
